Armed with 64 powerful guns, a menacing 226 feet long, the warship Wasa was built in 1626, launched in 1627, and sunk in 1628. Though she was a powerful ship, one of the finest Swedish ships created, she met her fate after sailing only 2 kilometers on her first voyage.
