Handmade from solid brass with a glass lamp enclosure, this brass 5 sided rounded oil lantern is built to the same specifications used to make the real lamps found in classic ships around the world. Designed specifically for lighting a ship’s dark interiors, these lanterns had to be sturdy enough to withstand turbulent conditions on an active seafaring vessel while maximizing the amount of light created from its flame. Not only a wonderful addition to the nautical décor of an office, den or family room, this fully functional replica is suitable for actual use hanging in a patio or garden, or placement on an outdoor table.
