This newly designed Limited Edition museum-quality scale replica Bluenose 2 yacht is offered exclusively by Handcrafted Model Ships, and includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by HMS Founder and Master Builder Richard Norris, as only 50 will ever be made. Accurate in almost every detail to the original Bluenose 2 yacht, our Bluenose 2 model yacht offers features not available by other sellers such as:

 The Limited Edition Bluenose 2 Yacht features the following upgrades over our regular Bluenose 2 model yacht: 

-  Additional and higher-quality deck details
-   Authentic cloth Canadian flag has been added
-   Additional deck planks have been added and stained to match the actual Bluenose 2 yacht
-   Upgraded, accurately scaled solid metal ship wheel has been added
-   Additional upgraded structures on the deck have been added, including intricately painted windows
-   2 scale high quality tied-down lifeboats with oars on the stern of the deck have been upgraded, to mimic the actual Bluenose 2 yacht
- Added deck details such as buckets and barrels
-   Higher quality sails with additional rigging:  The sails are slightly starched to hold their shape and a higher quality and higher thread-count material is used, similar to that of the actual Bluenose 2 yacht at the time it sailed.  We offer three unique sail materials that are matched to the different eras of model yachts we offer.  Also, additional rigging lines have been added to be more true to the actual Bluenose 2 yacht
-     Removable base:  The Limited Edition Yacht can be removed from the high-quality wooden display base.  Accordingly it can be cleaned and examined in detail much more easily.

Generations of Atlantic Canadians have grown up with stories of the Original Bluenose Nova Scotia, her Captain Angus Walters and Bluenose II.

The vessel became the world's most famous Nova Scotian fishing schooner racing victorious - and undefeated - into history and legends.

A glorious reign as Queen of the North Atlantic began with her launching from Lunenburg's Smith and Rhuland boatyard on March 26, 1921. It tragically ended a quarter century later.

In 1963, Bluenose II was launched from the same shipyard, built by many of the men who had worked on the Original Bluenose.

• Home port: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
   
• Bluenose II is acknowledged to have the largest working mainsail in the world. It measures 4,150 square feet (386 m2). The total sail area measures over 11,000 square feet (1036 m2) and is 43.5 m (143 feet) in length.
   
• All crew members live onboard during the ship's six-month season.
   
• In 1971, the Oland family of Halifax sold Bluenose II to the government of Nova Scotia for $1.
   
• Since 1937, the image of Original Bluenose has graced the Canadian dime (10 cent piece).
   
• In 1995, Original Bluenose and her captain, Angus Walters, were inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.
   
• Nova Scotia's Bluenose II and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is proudly operated by the Lunenburg Marine Museum Society.
