Handmade from antiqued solid brass with a glass lamp enclosure, this accurate replica oil lantern is built to the same specifications used to make the real lamps found in classic ships around the world. Designed specifically for lighting the path of a ship's Chief Mate during nighttime inspections, these lanterns had to be sturdy enough to withstand turbulent conditions on an active seafaring vessel while maximizing the amount of light created from its flame. Not only a wonderful addition to the nautical décor of an office, den, or family room, this fully functional replica is suitable for actual use hanging in a patio or garden, or placement on an outdoor table.
